Before I tell you about my experience and credentials, it is important for me to let you know that I love what I do!

I am passionate about helping people grow, live from their heart, and feel more intuned with themselves and their partners.

I am genuine, warm, empathic and accepting.  And I feel extremely lucky to be able to be a part of my clients’ journeys.

Over the years, I have had the pleasure and privilege of assessing and providing therapy for individuals and couples across multiple settings (private practice, university counselling centre, community clinics, forensic setting, acute care hospital ward and outpatient services).  I have welcomed clients from all walks of life, and have a true appreciation for each individual’s and couples’ uniqueness.

I am a Registered Psychologist in British Columbia.  I earned both my M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Victoria, BC., where I specialized in human development across the life-span.

I also interned and trained extensively at the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally-Focused Therapy (ICEEFT), directed by Dr. Sue Johnson, co-founder of Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT).  I am one of select few Vancouver-based EFT-Certified Therapists.

I have written articles, book chapters, and invited reports, and gave numerous lectures and presentations (see list).

I have won awards and was the recipient of prestigious fellowships (see list).

Mostly, though, I have been touched by clients’ journeys, and it is through their eyes and courage that I have developed into the clinician I am today.
